03LE Posted December 30, 2004 Report Posted December 30, 2004 Just a heads up on the weekend after new years.. Jan. 8th and 9th We are takin' a trip to the dunes. Me and my friend Josh Dick are the only ones going at the moment, so if anyone can go and wants to let me know. (if ya need a ride we got room) We are leaving at 5 or 6 am Saturday morning from Independence, KS So we should get there around 9am Saturday. If it is freezing a$$ cold down there we will puss out and stay in a hotel over night. Quote

Seems everytime i hit I-35 i'm facing a head wind going down. coming up it usually pushes us and we come in right about 4 1/2 hours from paola, ks. just south of olathe Quote

We go over by Sedan to Ark City, to 35 turn at Blackwell head to Alva and turn to Waynoka, 4 Hours is normal time with a trailer and gas/food/restroom stops. Looks like we are still on weather pending. I will know fo show tommarow on the weather (crosses fingers again) PS Dune girl... call in sick! and come P A R T A Y with US! We live about 7miles north of AC, we always stop there @ the liquor store as we pass through before we hit Ok. You guys still going this weekend...look'n to be a bit chilly as of now. Quote
