billycole7 Posted December 24, 2004 Report Posted December 24, 2004 I installed new pipes on my 2003 Banshee last week. Now when it is running, the pressure coming out of the exhaust on the rught side is far less than the left. What could possibly be wrong, and what do I need to do to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jason Quote
ledofthezep Posted December 24, 2004 Report Posted December 24, 2004 Did you rejet when you put on the new pipes? Quote
sredish Posted December 24, 2004 Report Posted December 24, 2004 Did you rejet your carbs when you put the pipes on? Have you pulled the plugs to see what they look like? Is it only at idle, or does it seem to run this way all the time and is it low on power? It could be several different things, but we need to know stuff before we can really get you info. Quote
billycole7 Posted December 24, 2004 Author Report Posted December 24, 2004 I rejet with 280's. It does it at idle and when revved higher. I just put in new plugs because I thought that that was the problem. Right after I changed the plugs, a bunch of black moisture came out of the right muffler. That has since stopped. Also, the pipe does not get hot like the other one. Thanks, Jason Quote
sredish Posted December 24, 2004 Report Posted December 24, 2004 definitely sounds like that side isn't firing. i'd run a compression check first thing and then do a spark check on the bad side to see if your getting spark, be sure to use new plugs for this. If you are getting spark, then I'd investigate a possible plug fouling issue. What does the spark plug look like when you take it out, all nasty and oily? I think you are experiencing a fouled plug, but I'd check the spark first. Quote
billycole7 Posted December 24, 2004 Author Report Posted December 24, 2004 Update fellas...When I rejet it, I didn't put a washer on underneath the main jet. This is what caused all of the problems. Now it is back to before, just alot more power! Thanks for your help guys, it is greatly appreciated. Thanks again, Jason Quote
