i am really interested in racing .i have a 00 banshee my dad has a 250 r which will be better in the long run. i know im on a banshee site so dont be offended

let me know. i love the torque on the 250 r but you guys are always saying good things about the 2 to 1 carb and dyna port exhaust

I'd have to say the geometry of the 250r is better. Actually, the mx banshee guys try to get 250r style geometry frames for their banshees. Run each on the track and see which one gives you the best lap times.

It won't be the power that makes up your mind. It will be the handling. Since you have both at your disposal take each one around an MX track and give 100% on both and I bet you'll have faster times on the 250r.

I've had the opportunity to flog on every mx capable machine out there... I don't like the way you sit ON the yfz450 and R's as opposed to the feeling of the 'shee/450r were your more down in the machine. Like these guys said though..... 1/2 dozen one, 1/2 dozen other.

a -2 swingarm would hook up better. 2in1 carb, some ptr mids, and some good suspension should have you rollin better than the stock setup. just run some laps with both quads, like people are saying to do, and see which one feels better.
