racer714 Posted November 25, 2004 Report Posted November 25, 2004 Question for all the knowledgeable shee peops, Im thinking of returning my twist throttle (on my 03 shee when I bought it) to the stock thumb throttle, question I have is if it has the tors removed and a twist kit installed, can i just bolt up the stock thumb throttle to the existing setup with the cable used with the twist thats on the bike now? Can I remove that electical wire from the stock thumb throttle(used with the tors I think) and just bolt on the thumb throttle to the existing twist cable on there already? Thanks in advance, by the way the carbs are still stock Quote
fixitrod Posted November 25, 2004 Report Posted November 25, 2004 You'll need a cable that is used with the tors removal kit for the thumb throttle or have somebody that know how to put a new ball on the end of your existing cable modify it for the thumb throttle housing. You can get the cable you need at toomey's website for 19.99. Quote
racer714 Posted November 27, 2004 Author Report Posted November 27, 2004 thanks fititrod, so the cable used with the stock thumb has a ball on the end, not the cylinder type that a twist has? Quote
fixitrod Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 It's the same end, it's just a different length. Quote
