Removing the float

I need to replace the needle valve on one of my carbs, but I cant see how to get the float pin out to remove the float. Is it pressed in? I don't see any clips.

I'm not 100%, but a lot of carbs have only one side pressed flat so it can only come out one way. Take a small nail and tap the pin out.

Fixitrod is right on the money, pin only comes out one way and is just pressed in. wont take much force to shove it out.
