Is this a decent deal?

Alrite I was looking on the internet for a banshee and I came across a 99 shee that is not very far from me and its blue and all stock. they are asking 3299 at some motorcycle shop so I was wondering do you guys think that is a good price or should I try to talk em down lower. And if I go to look at this shee , what are some things I should pay attention to, To make sure it isnt tore up??

Allways ask them whats the lowest they can go.Some things to look for is if the tires are still stock how much they are worn down if there slicks that doesnt mean that its been rode a hella lot cuz all they do is spin....look a the back sproket if the teeth are real pointy he hasent taken very good care of it.check the chain tention.ask him what kind of oil he mixes with his gas and what ratio.ask him what kind of tranny fluid he uses and how often he changes it...if the fenders are bent down you might want to check the frame to see if its streight.and also do a comperssion check.

well I called the place and the guy said 3200 not a penny less. and he also said "You cant find any 04's that look this good" and said there has prolly only been 1hr ride time on the shee. So right now I have 2800 saved up for a shee, and I said I could give em 2800 tomorrow and he refused. So I think Imma shop around for about another week to see if I can find a good deal.

well I called the place and the guy said 3200 not a penny less. and he also said "You cant find any 04's that look this good" and said there has prolly only been 1hr ride time on the shee. you might as well look at this one if its really nice i would buy it...or you could just buy a banshee with all the mods allready done to it

it's a hard call. if it's really that nice, you could have a nice virgin shee for just another 4 bills than you have now. But looking at it in another angle, for 3,500 you could probably find one that's got pipes and tires and maybe some other little things. It's more expensive, but you can rely on a machine that hasn't been built. If it's been built at all, it could've been beat on or not done right, etc. Mine was stock and that's the way I wanted it. It wouldn't be too bad of a deal if you just went for that one.

buy a bike with at least pipes and some kind of airr filter and maybe good tires on it. you should be able to find one of those maybe a 98 for around 3000. maybe shocks too. try to find one with a low bore size. the closer to stock the better that way you know it wasnt trashed like red said. you can find a built shee for the almost the same amount as a stock one. and you know your always gonna want more horse power so i say just buy a moded one.

when did the guy first get that shee? he said its a `99 and theres only 1 hour on it? i think thats bullshit! if i had a `99 shee there would be more than an hour on it. hell the first outing on it i would have would be about 2 hours.

Always ask there lowest price...and then offer a little lower. Especially if you are paying cash.They say they would take 3,000. tell em well...man. I've got 2800 cash. go from there.

Ya if 2800 is all ya got, I almost guarantee that if you go down there and start waving green 100's in his face he will probably cave. Not always but usually when a seller sees cash and you are close they will usually deal

yep, once he realizes that he may not even have to pay taxes on that shit much less do paperwork, then you could quite possibly be out the door. besides if you go down there, cash in hand, and he refuses they arent going to kill you. youve got nothing to lose by trying.

But he said it looks like it is jus right out of the box. still says prolly not even an hour on it. So I think I will get a couple of hundred in the next day or so and look at it or possibly buy it. The place is only a couple hours away from me in Texas so it should be no problem.

yep I am defiantly getting it... I called the guy back and talked em down to 3050..

 

because he is right under houston and I am in dallas. It will be like a 5hour drive.

Didn't know where you were from. There's a banshee in Gainesville, a little over an hour from Dallas, with pipes, coolhead, reeds and some other shit, think shocks and stuff. Looks like it's in really good shape. I've looked at it several times just for shits. I bet he'll take 3,000. I think it's an 01, but not sure. There's another that I think he'll take 2,500 for. It's a little older, but it also has pipes, coolhead and some other shit.

 

Just for FYI. I'd be happy to meet you over there and look it over with you.

Naw man its cool , I know a lil something-something about atv's and my step-dad is going with me to get it and he knows a whole bunch so he isnt gonna let me get ripped off. If I knew how to post pics I would so you could see how it looks.
