You might try ATV Connection - Yamaha. That Yamaha section covers all the machines and they might have more info for you. Try searching also. Scott Quote
jlh Posted August 24, 2004 Author Report Posted August 24, 2004 I did get a few replies for that web site so far 260 - 280 on the main and 25 to 30 on the pilot is what people are telling me, hopefuly that will get me close I go the midle of next month so I have plenty of time, the real tricky part is getting her set up for Pikes Peak next year I'm looking forward to that!! sredish Posted August 24, 2004 Report Posted August 24, 2004 Glad they were able to help you. Let us know how it ends up. That pipe help your power quite a bit? I have Suzuki 500 4x4 that I've been wanting to put an FMF Megamax on, but have been apprehensive on the jetting aspect. Don't really feel like f'ing with it. Later. Quote

sredish Posted August 24, 2004 Report Posted August 24, 2004 I think he means Big Bear Colorado. Not Big Bear Yamaha. aha!! who's the biggest idiot in here? That's right. You know, I was wondering why he said a Power Core silencer for his 4 stroker, but thought he's just confused. looking back i see boost (boot bottle) and his "fatty" is singular. i know, i'm being picky, but i came in thinking big bear so it made sense. this is a case where typos will get people confused. sorry bout that jlh, i would've thought more about that rather than send you out to another place. 260 sounds like a pretty close number, depending on the temps, 270 might be good, you'll definitlely have to keep an eye as to not over lean the jetting. I've always heard one size per 1,000 feet, while that doesn't always work out perfectly, it will often get you in the ballpark. I ran 310s in mine at 1,000' (give or take), so 310 going down 5 sizes gets you at ........ drumroll .......... 260, and that's where I'd start. Later, and sorry again for that. Quote
jlh Posted August 24, 2004 Author Report Posted August 24, 2004 I'm going to ride my yamaha in big bear Quote
