phatboy Posted July 10, 2004 Report Posted July 10, 2004 ok...does anyone know where i can find a guide to doing a clutch replacement. i have a twist throttle put on by someone else what do i need to do to go to thumb. if i take off the airbox and run two k and n filters right on the carbs, everything else stock with bigger jets will it make more power.(i took the lid off and had no low end at all put it back on...) short and sweet. boonman Posted July 10, 2004 Report Posted July 10, 2004 You can find an easy reference in a Clymer service repair manual. Available at the dealership, or on Ebay. You need to re-jet after doing any mods dealing with the engine. (like removing the lid). in order to go back to thumb, you need the throttle housing, a new throttle cable, which is available through Motion pro, or any aftermarket place that sells banshee parts, or ebay..... You will make a slight increase in power. Either way, if you still have the stock air filter, removing the lid is a no-no. The lid keeps the filter in the box. I recommend getting a pro-flow adapter plate for the stock airbox, and getting a UNI foam air filter with an outerwear to pull filtration duties. Quote
