crankinpedro Posted July 4, 2004 Report Posted July 4, 2004 I have a problem, my banshee leaks oil and antifreeze from the same place underneath the bike. I know it is not the clutch cover gasket or the bolt to drain the oil. I am wondering how antifreeze is mixing with the oil and if this can cause damage? If anyone could help me it would greatly be appreciated. Quote
jadaven Posted July 4, 2004 Report Posted July 4, 2004 Ok, The oil and antifreeze together is not good. you need to have the problem fixed asap. As far as how it got mixed together check the oil seal behind the water pump, it could be bad, its located in the clutch cover. as far as the leak check and make sure the clutch cover is tight. Hopefully you dont have a crack in your case. good luck. Quote
crankinpedro Posted July 5, 2004 Author Report Posted July 5, 2004 I have already changed that seal and it still continues to leak. I think their might be a crack in the case and if I do what could be done to fix this? Quote
jadaven Posted July 7, 2004 Report Posted July 7, 2004 Well if there is a crack in the case You may have to replace it. Ive also heard of some people being able to weld the cases. But im not to sure about that. Where on the case do you think it has a crack? Quote
svtkid78 Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 You can weld the cases if you do have a crack. Quote
DUNEDEMON Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 Try checking the O-ring on the coolant pipe that goes into the clutch cover side of the case, I've had that do the same thing you are describing. Quote
