antwa Posted June 30, 2004 Report Posted June 30, 2004 Beginner need some advise please? Crashed and bended my shee Quote
Holyman Posted June 30, 2004 Report Posted June 30, 2004 Buy the bars you think look good in your price range. I have never bought high end bars and don't really see the need. Aluminum bars are nice because they don't get rusty when the paint gets scratched. On the engine noise... you really NEED to find out exactly what it is. And then see if needs to be fixed. 2strokes need to be maintained so if there are strange noises, they need to be checked on immediately. Post where you live and maybe one of the reputable HQ guys can come over and help you out. Quote
antwa Posted June 30, 2004 Author Report Posted June 30, 2004 Thanks for the advise! Live in South Africa though, don Quote
Holyman Posted June 30, 2004 Report Posted June 30, 2004 There was a couple guys on here from South America and since the country is so small hehe they should be able to just run right over. Quote
J..J. Posted June 30, 2004 Report Posted June 30, 2004 (edited) Hey, he said South Africa... and it's not small... antwa, welcome to the HQ, good to see a fellow South African on this board. where are you from? You could get a SABAR, it's an alloy bar locally made. Edited July 1, 2004 by J..J. Quote
antwa Posted June 30, 2004 Author Report Posted June 30, 2004 HI J..J. If seen you allot on this site, nice to see the flag flying. I live in the Vaal Triangle, and do most of my riding around here, where are you from? Would your recommend SABAR ? Quote
J..J. Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 antwa, you found out what that strange noise was? I highly recommend you follow Holyman's advice and check it out. I live in the Vaal Triangle, and do most of my riding around here, where are you from? I'm from the KwaZuluNatal North Coast. The Sabar is not bad for the price, I've had mine for a few years now, no probs. Like Holyman said, no need to go for the high end bars, spend your money on something else... Hope to see more of you on the forums! Quote
antwa Posted July 2, 2004 Author Report Posted July 2, 2004 Thanks for advise on handlebars. Broke my collarbone when I crashed so my arm is still in a sling, cant work on the bike at the moment. Will have it checked out before I ride again. J.J. Enjoyed your posting of the ships! Quote
