I have heard of problems with the nut that is part of the shaft twisting in the hex cut on the pressure plate under extreme load.

 

Has anyone gone through either of this.

 

Hinson sells a billet pressure plate instead of the stock cast but it is way expensive.

My plate is fine I was just thinking of future problems.

I don't know anyone that has had a problem with the stock pressure plate. Mine had a lot of wear on it, so I had to face it off, but no big deal.
