STLbanshee Posted April 29, 2004 Report Posted April 29, 2004 Just put that parking brake block off plate on my 2002 and I got that stupid wire that went into the praking brake..and you know if you like dont have it pressed in, it wont let it rev, like its a rev limiter, but as soon as you press the button, it will rev up..so how do you go about fixing it? Stuff Posted April 29, 2004 Report Posted April 29, 2004 I just unhooked the e-brake wire from the harness...if I recall right Just trace it back to where it hooks into the main harness and there is a connector....unplug it That was it and it runs fine. Quote
boonman Posted April 29, 2004 Report Posted April 29, 2004 I am not sure about unplugging certain things. What I did on my bike, I got the TORS eliminator kit at the same time as my parking brake block off. I just unplugged the brain module which is located under the fuel tank adjacent from the coil. banshee0044 Posted April 29, 2004 Report Posted April 29, 2004 unplugg it and put tape over the ends of the wires...thats what i did? Quote
ledofthezep Posted April 29, 2004 Report Posted April 29, 2004 I just unplugged the brain module which is located under the fuel tank adjacent from the coil. (the left side) Right....on the left side of the tank, may be just below the tank there's a connector, un-hook it & tape it. You shouldn't have to cut/splice any wires. If you trace the wires coming out of the stock clutch perch you'll find the connector. Just disconnect it. Quote
