What is the diffrents between Boring & Honing, I bought a set of cylinders on ebay. the guy said they where stock bore, but they have been honed. and the stock bore pistons i ordered seem like the don't fit as tight as they shood.

Boring actually removes material from the cylinder. Honing, leaves small grooves in the cylinder called "cross-hatches". These are needed to break in the rings and allow them to seal to the cylinder walls. Honing can also be referred to as very minute "scratches" in a specific pattern on the side of the cylinder...... You should measure the cylinders to see if they are within tolerance and not oblonged......
