Pistons?

i blew my shee up yesterday......i just put brand new D&D pipes and cool heads on it...it had 55 pound of compression....it blew the right side up...i am running 280 mains and the needle droped one.....i think i need more then that..i am upstate NY and have no idea what altitude i'm at...i wanna say sea level.....but when i replace the pistions i was looking at the vitos super stock..it says 8 HP on top end....any1 notice a diffrence? worth the money? thanks

I also live in upstate NY about 40 min from D&D. I used vitos ss pistons on my last banshee and I did notice a nice difference with them. I had one piston skirt break which caused me to have to replace both pistons and bore it out again but I still went back to the vitos piston even though they wouldnt warranty anything I still liked the power they gave. I would recommend them if you dont plan on doing any more than a clean up portjob but they wont work with ported motors If you want to email me I can give you a guys number that lives near Lowville NY and he is awsome with banshees He made mine FLY.

i am 40 min from D&D to..i am from clayton...20 miles north of watertown......where u located? the guy that does my work is really good.......thats not the problem....i have never rebuilt my bike....i bought it brand new in 2001.......what jetting were u running w/ ur bike?
