Trick2stroke Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 I was woundering, if it would be possible to clear powder coat over paint... Cause I was wanting to do a metal flake color, and I don't know of any metal flake powdercoat colors... Any info on this will be appreciated... Thx.. Quote
evil Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 theres a shitload of metal flake powder coating out there these days. check at www.columbiacoatings.com if you were to do clear over regular paint it may melt it off as the clear is curing and mess up the whole project. i my self wouldnt even try it. check into columbia they might have what your looking for or hit me back with a color and ill run a check for you and tell you where to get it at. and another thing, the metal flake is an additive to the powder, so if you find a color you like you can add the flake to it and your in there. i think www.eastwoodco.com has the prisim additive and flake too.
