Stator/flywheel squeak?

Recommended Posts

Please help!!!

Bit of a head scratcher I hope someone knows what's going on. So I completely restored my 89 banshee and everything has been fine. I had the motor rebuilt by Mac Daddy Racing, stock bore, hot rods crank, vforce 4 reeds, Vito cool head with 21cc domes. Well I went trail riding and noticed a squeak coming from the stator side. Went back to the truck to pull the cover off and didn't see anything that was obvious so I put the cover ba k on, made sure it was correctly seated, and fired it up with no sound. Went back out riding and it came back when up in the rpms. So I took it home and took the cover off again and noticed a gouge on the inside of the cover so I figured just a warped cover or something idk. So I bought a chariot racing cover and it started doing it again. Took the cover back off and this time started it without the cover and theres still a squeak but not as profound of one. No damage to the chariot cover either. I pulled on the flywheel in and out, up and down and there's no play. I don't have a puller yet otherwise I'd have the flywheel off to inspect the bolts but this motor has barely 10hrs on it since its rebuild. Would the bolts have already backed out? I'm at a loss hoping someone knows what this could be
