Low compression

Originally posted this in general discussion than found out it's wrong place, so here I am fixing what was done.

 

Yesterday i got finally time to have a look at my banshee after years of sitting in my backyard on sun,rain and what not ,after changed old fuel and adjusted the carb float level it started 3rd kick but god almighty it smokes and spits unburnt fuel.

Checked the compression and its around 102 psi on left and 105 on right cylinder so just wondering if thats the cause of so much unburnt fuel?

The carbies are not flooding and 280 mains should not be too big for open air box and k&n filter + fmf fatties ,i did shange oem rid chages with vf3 tho since last carb tune up.

I think your problems likely still lie with carburetion or simply plugs.  If you are spitting fuel, usually one side is not firing is not getting the right air/fuel mix.  Make VERY sure your carbs are balanced or sync'd properly.

I'm no expert or anything but you should stop messing with it, and just rip out that motor and rebuild it. 102 is low comp anyways. I didn't see your original thread, but if it was out in the weather uncovered who knows what the inside of that engine looks like.
