epkid Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 Does anyone know or tried to swap cdi boxes from an old ('88 2GU) to a newer ('96 3GG).Is it just a different connector or is there a different wiring scheme. I cant find any wiring diagrams. I see the connector on the stator and CDI is different. Thanks Chad Quote
boonman Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 There is one extra wire. You also have to switch one of the conectors. Or, call ricky stator, and get the other stator.... edit: ANother thought, if you don't want to get a new stator, or mess around, still give Ricky a call, and see if he can fashion ya up a pigtail of some sort so it plugs right in...
