Gill Posted January 19, 2016 Report Posted January 19, 2016 Hello, I am in process to rebuild clutch with Hinson basket and mattoon plate. I have red loctite 271, which is good upto 300F, read on few forums that hinson recommends 272 which is good till 450F, strength being same for 272 and 271. I can't find 272 locally. Is it that big of concern? What do you guys use? 271 will do?What sort of temperature we see in clutch case? Quote
banshee den Posted January 19, 2016 Report Posted January 19, 2016 you should have no problems running red Loctite 271. 1 Quote
camatv Posted January 21, 2016 Report Posted January 21, 2016 i run easy to get red all the time on them it should be fine. you can also stake them from the other side if you want. but with the big bolts, mattoon plate converted you shouldnt have any problems 1 Quote
