I made a post today about an issue with some screws coming out of a Mattoon lock out.  This bike has had a few other issues with screws and bolts coming loose.  Frame, mounts and plastic fasteners and recently the intake bolts have been wanting to back out.  I attributed a lot of this to riding more mx since I built my track earlier this summer.  Talking with Cam, he feels there might be a harmonic issue somewhere in the motor that's causing this.  I made the earlier post before this conversation and want to clarify that I wasn't trying to slam Mattoon's product and hadn't considered this harmonic issue as a potential cause.  More or less wanted to see if anyone else had experienced this.

Well unfortunately there's a lot of shit spinning in these that you'd really have to get stuff out and find some one to test the stuff. A crank can be done easily with the pistons. Get it balanced.

As far as the Trans and clutch stuff I couldn't tell you. Maybe it all started when your lock up went. It's gonna be hard to check these things.

I've see lockout bolts come loose before , usually I only see the aftermath of problems. After checking the cranks they were outta true a considerable amount. Anyone who has a crank stand set up can also check tranny shafts and pushrod inside shaft . I have seen harmonic issues in pushrods before. Maybe that translated into the lockup assembly's . Just speculation but something to think about I also have a setup to check cranks while still inframe

I've also seen problems with aftermarket stainless bolt kits . The nylocks tend to cock the nut and maul the threads and not allow the the motor to be tightened properly . Stock hardware is allways the best in these areas
