Banshee350cc Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 on rebuilding the banshee and have noticed 5 out of the 8 front hub bolts are shot. whats the best way to remove them? Quote
Coupelx Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 Heat and hammerheat and a hammer is a terrible idea on cast aluminum. last time I used a press. Put it studs down with a plate on top and it will press all 4 out at once. Line up the knurls on the new stud and push them back in while supporting the other side with something like a deep well socket. 2 Quote
WINDYCITYJOHN400 Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 With the costs of new studs and (if you don't have access to a press) the cost of labor.....just buying some different hubs might be cheaper. Quote
