Not quite sure what you're tying to say here, but there's a ton of different ways to go on the stator/harness/CDI thing. You can easily cut, solder, heat shrink any connector any where you want. Just for info, it's possible to plug the stator directly into the CDI. So, the connectors on the stator and CDI are the same, just opposite sides. So, if you have a junk new style CDI, you could easily solder the connector from it to the harness for a new style stator. You would still have old style CDI, but that doesn't matter.
