dirtydownunder Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 there is wiseco pistons for long and short rod pistons 795 is a long rod piston. 513 for short rod piston 573 is blaster piston for banshee for long rod crank. haah re read post. no you cant add long rods without removing the crank. dirtydownunder Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 long rods were used to give the piston/rod a greater dwell time at TDC/BDC so the piston has a longer transition from upstroke to down stroke. meaning less load/stress on the piston and bore. pro is long rond con is short rod. dirtydownunder Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 running em in my 421, but thats because its how it comes in the kit. blaster piston has different squish band angle/size. you wouldnt use them in a stock cylinder unless ya builder setup ya motor for it. i think the smallest a blaster comes in, is 66mm.
