yamaha driver Posted October 2, 2012 Report Posted October 2, 2012 my left side ball joint on my j-arm seems to be shot or at least worn. You can grab the top of the tire and move it pretty good in and out and you can see that the lower part of the ball joint moves and the j-arm does not. I think i saw somewhere you cannot replace them. can you replace them or will it hurt to just leave it Quote
Nieskes Posted October 2, 2012 Report Posted October 2, 2012 You can not replace them, but I would get a new arm so it does not pop out when your going like 150mph. Quote

Would that mean the j-arm is bent? Edited October 2, 2012 by yamaha driver Quote
SNTBANSHEE Posted October 2, 2012 Report Posted October 2, 2012 Call Tim at Stellar (site sponsor) Top quality work and his setup comes with replacable bearings. I've been running Stellar's J Arm setup for 2 years now with no issues at all. Quote

Starwriter Posted October 2, 2012 Report Posted October 2, 2012 also i see the other side doesnt have play but is rubbing the shock a little when the banshee has noone on it. Would that mean the j-arm is bent? Yep. sounds like it's bent. Run your finger over the back side of the J arm just outside the reinforcing gusset. (about 3" out from the bushing) If you feel ripples in the tube, the J arm is bent. In the top left corner of this pic, you see 2 shiny spots with a dark spot in between on the J arm. Those are the ripples. Quote
