So Cal Suspension Posted September 19, 2012 Report Posted September 19, 2012 I believe mine would be way too soft for you. I was about 190-200 at the time, and they were cushy for me. At 250 you'll be way too heavy for them Those shocks appear to be a 36mm body, with a 12mm shaft. Pretty close to the stock ones. The geometry on a banshee vs a snowgo is completely different. Snowgo shocks are mounted extremely close to the outside edge, creating less leverage. They typically are softer when you put them on ATV's, because there is more leverage on the shock. Quote
SpeedRacer88 Posted September 19, 2012 Author Report Posted September 19, 2012 So that's a no go, on either shock? Sent from my Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk 2 Quote
SpeedRacer88 Posted September 19, 2012 Author Report Posted September 19, 2012 I picked those because they looked to have a lot of adjustability Sent from my Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk 2 Quote
SpeedRacer88 Posted September 19, 2012 Author Report Posted September 19, 2012 Also the 36mm body and 12mm shaft what does that mean performance wise? Does that mean it will perform worse? Sent from my Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk 2 Quote
So Cal Suspension Posted September 19, 2012 Report Posted September 19, 2012 In a shock that small, it won't matter to you. Ignore what I said. Higher oil displacement means more accurate valving, and better cooling, yada yada yada. I've seen used Works non reservoirs sell for 150-200 on here on a pretty regular basis. I'd hang out and watch the FS section and see if anything comes up before you spend your budget on shocks that may or may not work. Quote
SpeedRacer88 Posted September 19, 2012 Author Report Posted September 19, 2012 Yeah i have my eyes on a set of single rate non ressie works but I just saw those and they seemed like a lot of adjustability and we're about 100 cheaper plus I'm thinking the works would be just as soft given my weight without rebuilding if u don't think they would at least kind of compare to those works then I guess I'll have to fork up the cash Sent from my Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk 2 Quote
