ClimbAnyHill Posted August 15, 2012 Report Posted August 15, 2012 Reccomendations on a starting point for a stock bore/stroke dune port with all the usual bolt on parts. CPI's, Air Pods, Lightened Flywheel, VF3's, Cool Head, etc. Thanks. Quote

ClimbAnyHill Posted August 15, 2012 Author Report Posted August 15, 2012 50 pilots and 155 mains CEL needle forgot to mention i do have a CEL & 155 sounds about right but 50 pilot? Not too high? Quote
Starwriter Posted August 15, 2012 Report Posted August 15, 2012 If you can force yourself to scroll past the 1st pic in this thread, you'll see a lot of people running 50 pilot at or slightly above sea level. The people running smaller pilots are at higher elevations. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=99361 Quote
mike0chek Posted August 15, 2012 Report Posted August 15, 2012 i got 52's in mine and there waay too fat, really need to get some smaller ones ordered Quote
Burke Posted August 15, 2012 Report Posted August 15, 2012 I was running 40 & 142's at Glamis, with very very similar mods Quote
Badbar88 Posted August 15, 2012 Report Posted August 15, 2012 42-158 for me at Glamis, plugs get pretty wet though Quote
ClimbAnyHill Posted August 15, 2012 Author Report Posted August 15, 2012 42-158 for me at Glamis, plugs get pretty wet though That 158 is too much. Are you fouling them out? Quote
Badbar88 Posted August 16, 2012 Report Posted August 16, 2012 No, but I'm going down a size or two this season. It felt like it was cutting out a bit on the top end when the weather warmed up at the end of last season. Quote
Badbar88 Posted August 16, 2012 Report Posted August 16, 2012 Damnit, now it's bugging me cuz I might be wrong about what jets I have. I'll have to check, it's been a couple seasons since its been jetted. I do know it's on the rich side Quote
ClimbAnyHill Posted August 16, 2012 Author Report Posted August 16, 2012 ^^ Maybe your pilot is small rich main? i got 52's in mine and there waay too fat, really need to get some smaller ones ordered Your sig says 421 cub on 35mm carbs? Quote
BeeCanBanshee Posted August 17, 2012 Report Posted August 17, 2012 Would the jetting be the same weather you have 2 33's or 1? I ask because I have a 2into1 with a 33 pwk, I got it with a 52 pilot and 165 main and it wouldn't idle. And would bog at low rpm. I moved down to a 48 pilot and still no idle I have a 45 I'm going to try but I also have a 60 and 62. Also I just put in a dek needle on 3rd clip and a 190 main. I will be testing tonite. I'm ay about 100 ft elevation with adj timing plate, k and n with no box, fatty's with pc II's. Quote

I believe each cylinder should have it's own rod, piston, dome, reed cage, pipe, carb, air filter. I bet if you slap stock carbs on your probs would go away. I know someone selling a single 33mm pwk for 50 bux! Quote
