xc air filter set-up

I'm looking to get started in hare scrambles/woods racing. Just curious how most people set up the airbox. When I picked up my shee, it had a K&N and no lid.

I would make that judgement by how dry it is that day. If it's not too muddy I'd run no lid, but have one incase if it gets messy.

The races i have done ive just been leaving the lid on mine. But mine is setup for the lid on too.

They make outerwarea that velcro to box covering whole top helps from dirt and water getting In and still get the extra air flow I keep as a spair for rainy wet days at mx tracks
