Spalding756 Posted July 30, 2012 Report Posted July 30, 2012 How to soften up the throttle after ten mins of riding my thumb is very tired and sore thanks Quote
dirtydownunder Posted July 30, 2012 Report Posted July 30, 2012 3 things you can try. 1.) toughen up. 2.) buy weaker springs. 3.) measure the stock spring, cut a few coils off ( start small, you dont wanna cut too much off) then stretch the spring, so its no smaller than the stock spring was. if you cut too much off the spring, it wont be strong enough to keep the slides closed and youll get stuck throttle open and crash/burn. Starwriter Posted July 30, 2012 Report Posted July 30, 2012 (edited) Take the spring out of the thumb throttle. The only reason it's in there is so that the TORS will work. Buy a billet extended thumb throttle lever. I prefer the one that's made for the YFZ450. It's longer than stock, but not as long as the one for a Banshee. Edited July 30, 2012 by Starwriter Quote
Paulie B Posted July 31, 2012 Report Posted July 31, 2012 Fast sells the softer springs if you are running Keihin's. I use a 400ex thumb throttle, Motion Pro Terminator cable, and a PEP EZ pull lever. Quote
