how to tell if a head is shaved?

i have a stock head and im looking for a few more, but my question is how do i tell if its shaved and how much its shaved.

 

also, how do i shave a stock head? id like to have a machine shop down from my welding class, i just need to be able to tell them what to do.

measure the deck to flat casting on the top of a known stocker with a caliper and compare

Usaually you can tell if the a head is shaved by if its looks bald. Sorry man... Do what Phelps said.

most accurate way is to CC the combustion chamber, that will tell you what cc it is.
