what would be the best way to check the coolant system for potential leaks on a new build ?

as i was tunning it a bunch of white smoke shoots out when I rev it.... made me think theres a coolant leak :confused:

its a 13psi cooling system. you need a pressure tester, that you can T into the cooling system (the line that exits the top of the head and goes to the rad is a good spot) T into it, pump it up. look for leaks.

 

you might be able to find a pressure tester cap for the rad, but i couldnt find one here.

start it up. it will pressurize itself :)

 

 

I would but I hv the pipes off.... thats when I noticed the leak, it was dripping from the domes so I replaced the orings and preasurized it with a radiator pressure tester I found at harbor frieght it held 15lbs for 1min... no drips ! so i called it good!
