wheredahoesatracing Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 has anyone ever ran red line shock proof oil in their banshee tranny? Quote
dirtydownunder Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 yeh totally dont do that, will fuck your clutch. redline prolly have a wet clutch trans oil out there, but shockproof isnt it. Quote
Meat Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 Iv'e been using it in my RZ350 and 250R for about three years now and it works great. Blue colored and it sticks to everything. Quote
dirtydownunder Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 blue, which one is that. lightweight ? ive seen some shockproof glaze synchro's and separate in the bottle, thought it would be a no no in wet clutches. obviously not Quote
wheredahoesatracing Posted February 23, 2012 Author Report Posted February 23, 2012 The stuff I drained out of a motor was greenish yellow and kinda thick I don't know what weight it was or anything I just had never seen it before so I called the guy who I got the motor from and he said it was shockproof made by red line. Redline Racing Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 I use to run it but clean up is horrible. It sticks to everything , completely trashes a good solvent tank. Works well but pain to clean. I used the blue one. Quote
DwnSouth Posted March 2, 2012 Report Posted March 2, 2012 I currently use MTL by Maxima but have used Redline 10w-30 motorcycle oil. Black bottle silver label (they have 10 kinds of 10w-30) never use the shock stuff Quote
Meat Posted March 2, 2012 Report Posted March 2, 2012 I use the lightweight one, the color of it is blue. Sticks to everything. I think its 75 wt. http://www.redlineoil.com/product.aspx?pid=43&pcid=8 Quote
