Out at pismo my cousin's banshee just stopped, he said it bogged like it ran out of gas. It wouldn't kick over back at the camp. I figured it wasnt getting any spark so when we got home I swapped the coil, cdi, and checked the resistance on the stator. To make a long story short, a bolt from the timing plate got loose and rattled around in the stator covor. It banged up the flywheel pretty good and snagged the pickup coil, it was hanging by one screw. My question is should I go ahead and just replace both the flywheel and stator or can I salvage one or the two?

Thanks for all the opinions, I was going to swap out the flywheel no matter what, my main concern was the stator and pickup coil. Zilla, what pickup coil did you replace your old one with? I might just replace that since the resistance on the stator is still good.

WFO I just took the old one off my junk RS stator, I almost forgot I had it. I'll definately put a little lock tight on the bolts this time around as well. Thanks fellas.
