oh just a discussion??

what makes an A class builder??

what would you expect in someone who would be consider'd an A class builder??

heard this coined the other day and just not sure what really the criteria is??

if we can discuss this like adults i might add what i would consider an a-class builder..

would it be narrowed to drag motors or overall? more than just ONE atv, or dirt bike or 4 stroke or 2 stroke??

dont think i could have summarized better myself. customer service goes reeeeeaaaaaalllyyyy far with me. of course the job done right the first time is also expected but maybe sometimes the opposite with some of the builders out there. participation is huge too cuz if you can get out there with the builders themselves, that makes everything that much better. hours on the phone is one thing but being able to BS and drink beer around the fire takes it to a whole different level.

well said.

i think he about summed it all up for me aswell... i would put it this way i guess...

1. Being able to outperform/exceed some if not all expectations.

2. Work done right the first time.

3 Customer service, i say this third because theyre are some while not all builders that are amazing at what they do, and because of this they are flooded and very busy and i understand that they cannot talk to me everytime i wanna know whats going on or have a question, as long as they understand what kind of motor im trying to build and help me get it done so theyre is no money waisted and maybe answer a few emails im happy.

4. Understands what kind of work I want done, doesnt try to push something else on you.

5. Doesnt look at you like just another customer, its great when you and a builder get on a first name basis espicially if like me you use one thats half the country away.

I dont know what i would say about yamaha being a class a builder, i dont think ive ever even said someone is a class a builder, is there an A+? Yamaha obviously did some things right otherwise we wouldnt all be here...

And i would say my top of the game and the proven drag bike guys who can push limits and satisfy the customer over and over again, obviously not everyone is trying to build a drag bike but years of research and trial and error makes most of these guys "a" builders...

so customer service trumps ability?

i guess what i ask is (__________) insert shop name a better builder then yamaha?

where does the scale peak? what do you base your top notch from?

Can I put "I" in the blank? Since (to me) I built my banshee better than what yamaha built my banshee to be for me. hehe

So are you talking about a manufacturer of ATVs or a shop who deals with aftermarket and repair?

Because if Honda had built a power hungry twin cylinder two stroke sport quad I'd be in the honda forums right now
