malcman
Just wondering if anyone knows if the water pump impeller bearing is suppost to sit flush in the clutch cover or if the bearing should sit up a little bit? Thanks
dirtydownunder
i use a socket and press the seal in(oil the outside if the seal), then oil the bearing and press that in, till it stops.
SAVAGE420
Agreed. I always coat the bearing with grease and pack both lips on the seal with grease. Be careful to not pop the lil mini springs off. Coat the impeller shaft and the big o-ring as well.
malcman
Thats my plan for sure, the socket seems to work well. when I removed the old one it was sitting a little bit above the case so I wasn't sure if this was normal or not. The seal seems pretty fragile so I didnt want to press too hard on it Thanks fellas
