LS3 Machine Posted May 21, 2011 Report Posted May 21, 2011 Is the stock radiator good for a Banshee with basic bolt-ons? Im operating in a desert (high temp) environment. Thanks, Tim Quote
bigblockbanshee Posted May 21, 2011 Report Posted May 21, 2011 Use Engine Ice and keep it moving, gotta keep air flowing through the fins. Although if you can afford it, one of those Chinamen radiators works decently better than stock so I've heard. Quote

If I upgrade the rad, it will be with a US made product, not a Chinese knock off. Quote
madjimmax Posted May 21, 2011 Report Posted May 21, 2011 The stock rad will be fine, the only thing that I would do is swap out coolant for engine ice and throw a billet impeller in the water pump and you'll be golden. Quote

So far so good! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Boss-ATV-Racing-Banshee-YFZ350-oversize-radiator-/150580613524?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item230f4dd194 Quote

I understand your passion for US made products vs. overseas products.... but the banshee wasn't exactly built by Americans. haha The stocker will be fine as long as you get it out of first and second gear. For high load-short burst riding you might find it getting hot. But a billet impeller and engine ice will keep you cool. A temp gauge will let you know what is happening if you are still concerned.
