Hey there,

trying to get a baseline on my jetting,i got this on a trade deal and it wouldnt start unless you pull started it,so i did a compression check it was 80psi on both cylinders,so i did a top end rebuild it is 66.50mm now, compression is 150psi both cylinders,no port work pro design cool head 19cc domes, pump gas 91 octane 40:1 mix,pro design billet intakes had a pro design boost bottle on it but one of the rubber grommets is torn so i took it off and put a section of heater hose to connect from intake to intake, fmf ram valves with new boysen reeds for the ram valves, fmf fattys with fmf silencers, stock mikuni carbs tors switches are still on the tops off the carbs, but all the other tors stuff is gone,k&n pods with outerwears,my elevation is 5300'+,temperature for jetting range is 65-75 degrees,my main jets are 320,pilots are 30, stock needle clip is on the 3rd from top,air screws are 1 1/2 turns out, i tried starting it it would not kick start so i pull started it it started right up and had a bogg or hesitation until you gave it 1/4 throttle or so,rode it for about 10 minutes and thougt this is not right? is this a good starting point for jetting? is this too much compression for pump gas? any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks Eric..

Make sure your carb bowls are on rite side i bet thats why you cant kick it,look in carb bowl for tiny jet at bottom, that bowl goes on carb with choke, make sure crossover is in with proper stuff.Do a pressure test to the motor,6lbs for 6 min there is a sticky in repairs an mods forum.Your elevation is gonna require leaner jetting than that saying your motor is tight,im thinking 290 mains,27.5 pilots, stock needle 4th clip to start, the jetting you have now i would run at sea level
