fireman5166 Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 ok im new to 2 strokes. I have a 89 banshee, with v force 3 reeds fmf pipes, k&n, and I just did the timing plate swap and set to 4 deg. took the bike out and ran good. well till the little hose that comes out of the clutch cover blew the o ring and water started leaking out under the carbs. so I put the bike on its side to open the clutch cover as I have done in the past when I put in the new clutch. I fixed the problem there and put new clutch cover seals. put it all back and now it wont start. I changed out plugs thinking that was maybe the problem. I then checked for spark. I have spark. well i kicked it for a wile. checked the plugs and no fuel, dry. so I sprayed a little starting fluid and she fired up but then died. so by me putting it on its side mess up something in the carbs? I got pissed off and gave up for the night. this morning i go out and it starts fight up but boggs bad down low but is good on the top. It wont idle at all. please help me out I don't know what i did. I was thinking maybe I got some crap some how in the carbs. please help. Quote

sleeper06 Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 maybe the float got stuck, try tapiing them and opening up screw on bottom of bowls Quote
fireman5166 Posted March 28, 2011 Author Report Posted March 28, 2011 well I tried tapping on them but still no go. I guess I will have to tear the carbs apart. Quote
