Rear Hub Bolts

Just got my 04 Banshee. Newbie question that the search button would not help me with.

 

I went to set chain tension and the book states 80ft on the top hub bolts and 40 on the bottom.(guestimating as I sit on the couch) However the bottom bolts do not get tight to hold setting (snug) and the tension screw adjusters dont hold tight either(flop around) Looks like my skid plate/mounting bolt area previously took a hit too. Left bolt-up area on bottom of skit plate is slightly tweeked. Seems like the 17 and 14mm bolt are bottomed out, but does not get tight on the bottom

 

Either way, I set the chain way the hell to tight, even though I followed the 1.5" spec in the book. SO I may just ratchet it down to get the rear sprocket parrallel with the front and set it to .5"

 

I am looking for a straight chain tension assembly/skid plate now as well.
