Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum, but not new to banshees or forums. I live in Klamath Co Oregon and do most of my riding at the Oregon Dunes

I'm planning a new engine build using shearer if bb s. My ? is how many ccs do I need to make these pipes work properly? I ran them last year on a 410cc stock cyl 5mil and they were very inconsistent. They would make more power climbing hills than on the flats; like the engine needed to be under more of a load to make the pipes work.

Thanks in advance,

Nick

I went back to my CPIs sbs after I figured out my shearers were bbs and not sbs. I traded a kid a set of t5s for them; he had a 410 stock stroke so I figured they were sbs; wrong; no wonder he didn't like them. I do want to build a bigger engine and run these pipes, I just need to know how big. I've heard anywhere from 440 to 500; I need to know for sure. I've been running CPIs for 4 or 5 years and love them; just looking for something a little different; maybe go with some snipers later on.

ive run my my 446 4mill on sbif cpi's and that made a drag motor feel like a dune bike it had great lower and top but it was a drag bike so after 70mm 4mill or 66mm 7mill big bore pipes work good if you want to tone it down sb

What pipes do you usually run on your 446?

Is the pipe choice stroke related? A 66mm 7mil is only 417cc.

Tone it down? Never.

Thanks for the reply,

Nick
