Gage Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 I've been looking for the pipe that will best suit me for trails or MX. It already has all the topend in the world i'm just looking for more bottom-mid. it has a 402 stroker kit, wiseco prolite pistons, boost bottle, 34mm mikuni flatside carbs, pro design air box mod, Adjustable timing advance.. I've heard PTR midranges are the best, i just want more opinions, also i'm putting in vforce 3 reeds. Quote

Snopczynski Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 X3 on Pro Circuits Pro circuits. You should be running smaller carbs and a low-mid reed instead of 34's and vforces. Quote
AKheathen Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 pro circuits x5, and smaller carbs/different reeds.......is that stroker kit just the plate and no porting? Quote
Gage Posted December 23, 2010 Author Report Posted December 23, 2010 Yeah it's not ported, i picked the bike up in a sale. I was thinking of sending it to herr jugs racing and getting either an aggresive trail port or mx hardcore. What would you recommend for carbs and reeds? Quote
sheefreak Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 If you are going to send it to Kevin, I would ask him about your entire setup. He will get you fixed up. Snop is real good on these types of setups as well. Quote

Snop is real good on these types of setups as well. Have kevin do a trail or even an mx port. He will probably keep the exhaust duration somewhere around 189 or less. Put a set of carbon tech mid tension reeds on it (special order), and some 28mm flatslides or D slide carbs with the pro circuits. Get the compression bumped up to around 170-175 psi also. Bump up the timing or get a dyna, and you will probably also need to run at least 50/50 race gas in it. Quote
