stacman450 Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 can you cut the spring in stock carbs after you remove tors.. seems to be to much spring for it now.. harder to throttle.. just wondering if cutting a few out would help this.. thanks Quote
06specialedition Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 I've heard of people doing it... I know there is a method to cutting them right. Maybe start with one coil at a time...just taking a guess. Quote
sleeper06 Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 Take a rough measurement of spring cut a coil and pull it apart to regain original measurement Quote
AKheathen Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 Take a rough measurement of spring cut a coil and pull it apart to regain original measurement x2, but make sure your cable is lubed good, and everything else moves smoothly, before cutting. i think people go 1 or 2 cuts usually....but remember, you have to watch out for slide and cable sticking more closely. bansheesrtoys Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 their is also a spring in the throttle housing plus instead of cutting your springs look into a longer lever they really help. Quote
