GrMeyer Posted September 27, 2010 Report Posted September 27, 2010 i was at 320 and it wasnt enough between 70 to 80 so i jumped up to a 340 i just wanna be safe let the bike idle and get a can of carb cleaner. Lightly spray each area from the jugs back and see if the idle will change. 340's on stock jugs seems really high. You might have an air leak. Quote

AKheathen Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 yah, wow. fatties should not need to be jetted that high, really. check your silencers/packing, float height, and then go do a plug chop (proper) rule of thumb is 2 sizes differnce between summer and winter, unless you live in a snow area, then it changes more. Quote
shee2000 Posted September 28, 2010 Author Report Posted September 28, 2010 i will have to check out the floats and packing later. and i thought that a 340 was high also Quote
banshee67 Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 colder air is more dense so colder air = more air. more air = more fuel. i wouldnt think you would need to go up to high. maybe one jet size since you have a few mods and all. Quote
