Bansh87 Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 Hey guys.. Need some help with the jetting on my Banshee. Need some opinions on jetting sizes. Heres whats done. Brand new motor Top and Bottom. Just 30 over. Ceramic Coated FMF Fattys w/ powercore II silencers, K & N w/ stock box no lid, stock carbs. Running 40:1 w/ Klotz RC50 oil. Riding done between 500 and 1000ft mainly at 500ft. Ive got stock pilots w/ 240 mains and its decent power if im really easy on the throttle. If i jam right on it theres no power. Seems like its starving for fuel. Ive been building this bike from a crate of parts over the last 8 months. Im dying to see what she can do when its running right. Quote
Bansh87 Posted August 31, 2010 Author Report Posted August 31, 2010 Changed the jets out last night to 280's.. way too fat plugs fouled out almost immediately.. pulled them soaked in gas / oil and black as night. some more info... Stock carbs needle 2nd clip, stock pilots, started w/ 240's now at 280's and allot worse. Man im dying to see what this baby can do when shes all there. Please any help would be appreciated Quote

Bansh87 Posted September 1, 2010 Author Report Posted September 1, 2010 Bought 30 mains and a rash of jets from 240 to 310's. going to try and figure them out tonight. I did notice looking over the bike there is a small crack in one of my reed intake boots. How big a deal is this going to make? i know its not going to help but im having a hell of a time finding a good set of intake boots to buy. can really afford the full billet intakes and just about everyones rubber ones i look at are no better than mine. GrMeyer Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 one way to see if you have an intake leak is to take some carbs cleaner. Let the bike idle and start to lightly spray around the jugs back to the carbs. If it starts to run all crazzzy, then you know you have an air leak on the intake side. Best to get it taken care of now before you have to put a new top end in. Quote
