smroberts00 Posted July 30, 2010 Report Posted July 30, 2010 ok i i am running a 92 banshee 65.5 mm pistons trinity stage 4 pipes k&n filter w no lid stock box elevation varies from 200ft to 1500ft air temps varie from 70 to 85 right now i have 280 mains 25 pilots needle clip is 3rd from top on a set of vitos 6 slot pins not sure if thats right but sounds close to me first the bike wont cold start unless i dump a lil fuel in the carbs then once it starts it idles very high tried adjusting idle screws and air fuel mix screws to no improvement can some one give me advice on jetting i have a limited # of jets on hand and my local dealer doesnt stock any i have sets of 25 and 30 pilots and main jets from 280 to 370 next can someone give me a few rough positions of where to start the idle and mix screws any help is appriciated Quote

I'm a little confused; are these stock carbs with a vito's needle or vito's carbs? Anyway, sounds like a pretty close set-up to mine. Idle screw should start at 1.5T from seated, you need to richen up your low jet, I'd say 27.5 but you could try the 30. I'm gonna assume you have 6-slot vito's needles and you're 3rd down from the top. Move the clip to the fourth position to richen the low-mid transition too and you should be OK. You should do a plug chop to confirm that the high end is OK. Quote
shee2000 Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 (edited) try 27.5 pilots and around 310 to 320 mains heres my mods 22 cc domes,k&n pods,+4 timing,chariot billet intake and reeds n cages,fmf fattys and im at sea level with 27.5 pilots stock needle middle clip and 340 mains and im just a lil rich better to be safe than sorry hope this helps Edited July 31, 2010 by shee2000 Quote
