MacRacer1 Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 should i get them i ride on the dunes a lot of tree shots and stuff also on youtube the silencers look way different than the ones they offer on the site are they different silencers they look like toomeys Quote
06specialedition Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 It all depends on what kind of power your looking for (low) (mid) (top)..... My brother in law runs the pro circuits on his banshee and his bike runs damn good! Me personally I love my CPI Inframes. Quote
Snopczynski Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 pro circuits have two different types of silencers you can run. Call the people your going to order them from, and ask questions. Quote
AKheathen Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 lol, they may look like toomey silencers from a ways away, but they're a bit bigger. there is the 2 different types to run. 304's are the std. ones and 296, i think, are the forrestry approved ones, in case you need to pass sparky/db rules. MacRacer1 Posted July 22, 2010 Author Report Posted July 22, 2010 ok thanks heathen so the ones that look similair to the toomeys are???? and also i ride the OR dunes so due the forestry ones kill power and do they sound simillair just quieter Quote
madjimmax Posted July 28, 2010 Report Posted July 28, 2010 The 304s have the sparkies in them thats what I'm running. The 296s are the standard and to be honest I love my Pro Circuits and the 304s are what I need on my bike to ride the local state parks so thats what I got. I like the way they sound the only difference is that the 304s have spark arrestors and the 296s dont other then that there really aint no difference. Its not because of sound that they're approved it's that they wont start fires. Quote

Its not because of sound that they're approved it's that they wont start fires. uh.....huh?.....you got that backwards, man. 304 are "factory sound" silencers and 296 are forrestry/db aproved silencers....you might wanna go double check, and if they are 304's then pull them apart and see for yourself. now, the 296 does, however, have 304 stainless stinger tubes on them.....mabey that's the confusion? oh, and the 296 silencers do not kill the power, or lessen it vs. the 304's. that's just the old loud=power way of thinking we are pre-programed to think. other silencers might hinder somehow, with sparky/stuffers, etc, but not these. in fact, when i get home, i'm sendin my purdy 304's out in trade for some 296's since i will need them to tour the us.
