For dune dragging and using an extended swingarm, what are the guide lines forthe length of shocks. I know for groomed drag strips everyone suggests Marvin Shaws. Fireball Racing Posted June 15, 2010 Report Share Posted June 15, 2010 Generally you will want to change the spring for anything longer then a plus 4 swing arm. changing the shock length would require different linkage like the elka setup. but the longer arms are not typically built for longer shocks but rather are extended past the shock mount point. that said it will certainly change the leverage on the shock, which is why we go to a stiffer spring like an eibach for extended arms.
