Say i'm at 65.5 right now and add a 4 mil crank only (if possible) what is my cc? I have read about spacer plates and such. Is that only for long rods? And with a long rod you have to change pistons correct? Quote
AKheathen Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 you cannot simply drop a stroker in. for a 4mill shortrod, you need to either run the spacer, or get the head/domes recessed for the extra stroke (recomonded option) you can run the regular pistons, though.......for longrod, you need longrod pistons, and the plate or recess......you will be missing out on a huge amount of power if you do not port it, though. dirtydownunder Posted May 6, 2010 Report Posted May 6, 2010 its a shame you are at 65.5, because you dont have many bore's left with those cylinders. you could re sleeve it and port the cylinders for the 4mm stroke. as AK said, that added 2mm stroke at tdc has to go somewhere so youll need a recess in the head or a dodgy spacer plate. fyi, 65.5 with 4mm stroker ends up being 390cc Quote
