crazyj789 Posted March 14, 2010 Report Posted March 14, 2010 I have a 97 shee 1 size over stock bore, +4 timing plate, PT mids and Fatboy 2 exhaust, stock carbs with TORS removed, crossove tube, reed spacers with stock reeds, ProFlow with K&N filter, K&N powerlid, race gas 110 oct. leaded with klotz RD50 32:1 mix, 500 to 800 ft above sealevel, temp 65 to 90 degrees F, what would be a good start on jetting this setup, Im thinking 27.5 pilot, 280-300 main, needle middle clip, air screw 1.5 to 2 turns out. Any sugestions are welcome Thanks, J Quote
GrMeyer Posted March 14, 2010 Report Posted March 14, 2010 I would start with 300. Needles in the middle. 27.5 pilots and about 2 turns out from fully seated. And is there a reason why you are running 110 oct? Quote

AKheathen Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 do yourself a huge favor and pick up a coolhead. you will loose a bit of power and have a harder time getting it tuned in otherwise. you will likely end up going 1 or 2 clips lean on the needles, but start in the middle. shoot for 165-180 cranking compression. the more cr, the less it will want to rev out, but you are mostly stock induction anyways. you can also have your head milled and chambered.
