Is there a reason why you are wanting to run the lid? Taking the lid off and the banshee is a new bike!!! I dont know where to start out on mains but 25 pilots should be enough. But if your keeping the lid on i would try starting around 250ish for the mains. But having the elevation and temp will help out some other people on here to help dial you in better.

Elev ? Average temp where your at now? before one can give you some jet suggestions

If your running the stock box because of the water factor on the trails, try going to a unifiler with BelRay oil. It's alot more "tacky" and water won't penatrate it. We have used it racing mini quads (which on the mini class the carb is even more exposed to mud / water being right behind the left front tire). I use regular filter oil on clear days with good track conditions - its easier just to have one of each set up on hand as weather changes. Make sure you use the Outerwear cover too - another trick to the trade is to spray "camp dry" or a form of scotch guard on it that will alow air to flow through it but water won't penetrate it.

just pulled the bowls off of my carbs to see what jetting is in there now and it has 340 size mains in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The motor was blown when I got it due to not rejetting after the pipes so he said he rejetted it now and apparently he put the 340's in it

looks like i got a 280 and maybe a 270

whats stock? I can tune it for without the lid and then just throw it on when its wet out right? It'll richin it up alittle right?

Thanks guys.. I'm gonna be gettin this thing ready to kick over soon

There is a big difference when you just slap the lid on. With out the lid you should be around 290's and with a lid you should be in the 250's depending on the temp and everything else. So you will have to end up re jetting if you throw the lid back on. A lot of people i new when i was in Ky and Tn, they would keep the lid on but put 6 quarter size holes in the lid and just left it from there. That is also an outerwear that is make for the top of the lid. That way it will help keep most of the water out of the box and is a prefilter to the filter. Just another thought. Also who did that rebuild? If you did then your sure that there is no porting done to the jugs. Because porting will make a big difference in your jetting.

well, if you properly modify the lid, it will make a difference of little more than one size on the mains. this involves working the runners inside rhe lid so that they don't restrict the flow. best to jet perfectly for the lid being off if you plan on doing the lid on-off thing. i would say to start with the 280, but i need to know the ridding temps to be sure....you may need more. if you are going to stay with the stock filter, then you are going to have to clamp it down somehow, since the lid holds it in place.

GrMeyer thanks for taking the time to help out when not to many other people are...

I did the rebuild and there is no porting... I think I am going to run without the lid

So what main should I throw in there just for first startup and so on.. I don't wanna run right out and do a plug chop as soon as I get it running

Also should I be able to run the stock pilots??

ok, without knowing the temps, then i would start with a 310, but you will be in the 280-310 range depending on temp and humidity......

No prob..

If your not wanting to go out and do a plug chop; which i never do. I jet by feel. But like said by AKheathen I would start with around 290-310 due to weather temps are getting colder. I dont know much about the T3's but I believe you can start out with the stock pilots of 25. Just turn the air screw in which clockwise; which is richer. seat it and turn it about one turn out and start from there. Also, here is a great site on banshee carb tuning. http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/jetfaq.html It has about everything in there for a write up on how to tune in your bike.
