crash&burn Posted November 20, 2009 Report Posted November 20, 2009 ok changed all my jets to try and fix my rpm sputter and now was told my floats could be outa of ajustment not letting fuel into the carbs at the right time to fill back up..... so i measured the the float hieght on both of them at .81 inches now do i need lower the floats or raise the floats and how do i raise and lower the floats Quote
Glamis321 Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 if i remember right the floats should be between .80 and .88 inches so you should be fine. but to raise/lower the floats just bend the little metal arm that the fuel needle hangs on. Quote
AKheathen Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 well, that comes out to 20.25mm, so you are a cunthair shy of the 21-22mm measurement, if i remember right. you have to measure it without the gasket, though, and no pressure on the floats, just gravity, holding the carbs upside-down. you simply bend the little tab that the float needle rests on to adjust Quote
